Bison Calf
The Bison is a very large animal that has thick brownish fur. They are often called the American Buffalo. They have a very large head with two horns that grow longer as they get older. They will use those horns to fight with other males for mating and for hierarchy. They move very slowly and they are often seen rolling around in the dirt or the mud as a means of cooling the body.
The temperament of a Bison can be unpredictable. They don’t have very good vision so they can attack what they deem may be a threat. When they feel that they are at risk they can move at a speed of up to 35 miles per hour. Most of the time the Bison spends their time  grazing and consuming grass.

Black Bear Cub
The Black Bear can be from 4 to 7 feet tall when it stands upright. It has a very long and round snout. It also has sharp teeth and sharp claws. The body is covered with thick dark fur that may be brown or black in color. They are only found inNorth America.
The Black Bear can range in weight from 90 pounds to 550 pounds. They have a very large home range that they forage looking for food including berries and fruit. They can be dangerous when they feel there is danger from humans. That is especially true when a mother is trying to protect her young cubs

Cheetah Cub
The Cheetah is a small wild cat but it is very fast and a skilled hunter. It features a tan coloring with black. It also has rosette markings on it that are unique for each of them. They are about 58 inches length and can range in weight from 75 to 145 pounds based on habitat and gender.
The Cheetah lives on the open plains in areas that are usually very warm including the savannahs. They are good climbers but tend to hunt on the ground. They will take prey that is several sizes larger than themselves into the trees though to keep others from invading the kill.

Bald Eagle Chick
The Bald Eagle is a common icon of the United States of America so just about everyone is familiar with them on some level. This bird is also protected due to the status of it being endangered. They are a brown or black color with a white head and white tail.
The Bald Eagle has a wingspan that can range from 6 to 8 ft. Their speed can be up to 35 miles per hour and its dive speed is between 120–160 kilometers per hour. They are at the top of the food chain and dine on fish and the decaying remains that they find with their amazing vision.

Beluga Whale Calf
The Beluga Whale is very large and they may be up to 20 feet long and 3,000 pounds in weight. They may live up to 50 years. They have a long body with a slender snout. They also have a flared out tail that is wide that they rely on for navigating in the water.
The Beluga Whale consumes a variety of types of food but mainly tuna. Belugas were among the first whale species in captivity. There are believed to be more than 100,000 of them in the world. The beluga is listed as “near threatened”.

Black-Backed Jackal Pup
The Black-Backed Jackal is a small animal that is very similar to a fox. They are approximately 12 ½ inches tall. They weigh around 15 and 25 pounds depending on their habitat. The Black-Backed Jackal may be tan or reddish but they almost always have black coloring on the backside. This allows them to blend in well to their surroundings.
They will occupy dens that other types of animals have abandoned. The Black-Backed Jackal hunts at night and they will feed on small types of prey such as crickets, spiders, and insects. They also consume fruits and nuts that may be seasonal to the habitat of the Black-Backed Jackal.
